I mean there’s really nothing better to do in Eastwick.

Helpful || Shawn and Wendy

det-shawn-campbell:

Earlier that day Shawn had oh so cleverly suggested to help Wendy settle into her new home, just like Autumn had advised him to. Little did Autumn know he was talking about Wendy, her roommate. Shawn took the stairs, two steps at a time, until he reached the correct floor. He didn’t like elevators. It was a pain in the ass when they got stuck. Being Shawn, it was impossible for him to stay in one spot, a confined spot to be more specific, for too long. Let’s just say he had climbed through more than enough elevator shafts in his lifetime. He added a little hop to his step as he walked towards Autumn/Wendy’s apartment. It was a kill two birds with one stone kind of thing. Not only did he get to work on his relationship with Wendy but he also got to know Autumn in his favorite way; without talking to her. A quick look around her apartment should tell him all he needed to know. He made a mental note to take a look at her bookshelf first. It was said that you could learn a lot about someone from their bookshelf.

Shawn stopped in front of their apartment and raised his fist. He knocked a little rhythm out on the door and wondered whose face he would see when it opened.

Wendy had been so grateful that Autumn had asked her to move in with her. The motel Wendy had been staying in was fine for the first few days, but after spending a little over a week there, she realized just how dreadful sitting in a cramped space was. But Wendy was even more grateful that Shawn had offered to help her unpack. Autumn had already done so much by allowing Wendy to move in, so she didn’t want to ask for anything more – but unpacking her boxes, even if she only had a few, was going to be difficult for Wendy, considering she had never liked settling down in one place for too long. After she had moved the small boxes into her new room, she began slowly and neatly ripping the masking tape off of the cardboard until a rhythmic knock sounded from outside the door. Knowing it was Shawn, Wendy faintly smiled to herself as she rose from her knees and began walking towards the wooden door.

“Hey there, stranger!” greeted Wendy as she moved out of the doorway so he could walk in. “It’s nice isn’t it – this apartment? I’m so glad that Autumn offered me to move it.” She felt as if Shawn didn’t neccesarily want to hear the whole story, her words slightly trailed on after a moment. “But anyways, do you want to unload the boxes or just help me organize all of the stuff?”

Hiding away for a while has made me realize how much I miss being out.

det-shawn-campbell:

Let me think.

I’m pretty sure I’m free. I’ll see you tonight, Wendy.

Okay, see you soon.

Totally. Just name a time and place and I’ll be there.

Are you free tonight?

Hiding away for a while has made me realize how much I miss being out.

det-shawn-campbell:

A bit, but nothing interesting came up. I’m thinking about doing a little snooping sometime in the foreseeable future.

Hey, do you need a hand with unpacking your stuff at Autumn’s? Or carrying anything?

Yeah, it’d be nice to have someone help me unload and unpack. Are you willing to help?

det-shawn-campbell:

Indeed it is. I like your name, it sort of fits you.

So, what have you been up to lately? A lot of snooping around?

det-shawn-campbell:

Well I suppose when you put it that way I wouldn’t mind having my name changed. I’m kidding. I like my name. It’s easy to spell and pronounce.

Yeah, I agree. My name was invented by the man who wrote Peter Pan, so I supposed that’s sort of interesting.

Flatmates | Wendy & Autumn

autumn-voclain:

Autumn was friendly, to an excess really. She never had problems making friends and was fairly outgoing in every situation she found herself in. While she never had a problem making friends, it seemed as though Autumn couldn’t keep girl friends around for very long. Living in Eastwick her whole life, there still wasn’t one girl Autumn could point out as a close friend. That didn’t stop her from being a shoulder to cry on or just a friendly face to talk to. When Autumn heard about Wendy’s living arrangement she took it upon herself, as usual, to comfort her. This wasn’t just helping someone out though, Autumn had her own motives. Living together would mean the two would surely become instant friends, Wendy was already a nice enough person.

As promised, Autumn cleared out the spare room that contained everything from old textbooks to videogames from her childhood. When Autumn moved out of the family home she didn’t even hesitate on bring her toys and things of that nature. She was a child at heart after all and loved having her belongings close to her. A second promise made, Autumn began the cupcakes. It wasn’t unusual for people to stop by after smelling them throughout the halls. She had just pulled them from the oven to cool on the stove when the buzzer by the door went off. “Hello?” she pressed the button. “Wendy! Come on up!” Autumn’s giddiness was apparent and she pressed the second button opening the downstairs door. She opened her own door and waited for her new roommate.

Quickly jogging up the gradual steps that lead up to Autumn’s, and now her, apartment she found herself just walking through the door and into the smell of the delicious cupcakes. She usually noticed that she often times just knocked before coming into a house, but Wendy now felt as if she actually lived there too – which she technically did. “Hey!” she called out to Autumn, “I just have a few items in my car, so it won’t take me long to bring them up. But I’ll do that in a few.” As Wendy’s eyes wandered around the apartment, she took it all in. She wasn’t used to settling down in one place for too long, so this feeling of starting over in a new place with a new person made her feel slightly anxious.

Trotting over to the kitchen, she peered over at the oven and saw the cooling cupcakes. “They smell delicious!” Wendy was delighted that Autumn had actually made the cupcakes like she had said she would. Tasty, and sugary, foods had always been Wendy’s thing so the cupcakes were like bacon hanging in front of a dogs face to her.

Honestly, I have no idea why he calls me Seamus. Do I look like a Seamus?

You do look like a Seamus. But I mean, you’d be a cute Seamus, so I guess it’s not all bad.
